1969 A14 Roadrunner
This is what I would call a 90% survivor. The car has been repainted but is otherwise unrestored. This Y2 yellow car was in an accident around 1990 and had to be repaired and had an external repaint. Otherwise it's an all original car. The drivetrain is 100% original and numbers matching. Interior, seats etc. original. All of the grills and tailight bezels are original. In fact, it had the orginal headlights to the car until very recently. The vinyl top was replaced shortly before my purchase of the car. It's a non air grabber 383, automatic car with some interesting options.
The A14 option "Plymouth Spring Special" was available early in 1969. The A14 option consisted of the following: Vinyl roof, road wheels with F70 x 14 raised white letter tires, V21 hood paint, 3.23 sure grip rear, chrome exhaust tips and body side paint stripe. Overall there were 1,412 Spring Special Roadrunners made in 1969, with 615 being post coupes. Based on research, it's possible there were less than 20 Y2 Sunfire Yellow cars produced. Also interesting, this is "the only 1969 Road Runner" that the vin ends in 383. As the last digits of the VIN are sequential production numbers and don't have anything to do with engine size.
This particular car also has the following options: AO1 light package, L31 hood mounted turn indicators, H2X high level trim seats, X9 doors painted black to match interior, V6W wide side white stripe and most interesting, belt side moulding even on a post car.
