* I have many of these orignal road test magazines. It's important to note, not all of these tests were conducted with street tires and closed exhaust. A good example is the 10 & 11 spot. The Charger at #10 had gears changed and was running slicks. The SD-455 at #11 was in stock form with street tires and closed exhaust. The 440-6 Roadrunner in #3 was in stock form but did have Ronnie Sox driving.

 

I have not seen any proof as of yet but have heard credible info that the Stage 1 GS in #9 position had slicks installed for the test. Regarless, it's still fun to read the old tests of when these cars were new.
